I bought blackout blinds to mount inside the window but the bracket they provide results in a very large gap between the window trim at the top and the blind roll that allow light in and it also just looks weird. The only solution they could provide is for me to buy another blind with the metal box instead. They should mention on the website that the bracket results in a large gap so customers can consider this when purchasing. I now have to buy the blind again (they're giving me a partial discount but still I'm paying much more than I had budgeted) and honestly I don't love the metal box and wouldn't have purchased these blinds had I known.
